The Child Support Media Guide is intended to help the media cover child support issues in a more informed and accurate manner. The guide offers a high-level overview of the child support program. It highlights program facts like how much child support we collect and how many children we serve. It also provides the history of the program and includes a short glossary with common terms used in the child support program.
This guide was developed by the Child Support Public Relations Committee with representatives from the National Council of Child Support Directors, the National Child Support Enforcement Association, and the federal Office of Child Support Services.
