*An excerpt from the letter of recommendation
She had served our clients for the five previous years of her DRS employment as an Establishment Conference Officer. Even during her tenure as an officer, Ms. Reigner showed signs of her ability to be a manager, voluntarily performing responsibilities to assist other staff and taking steps to show her initiative, creativity and technological skills.
Although Ms. Reigner has been a manager for just two months, she has already proven her ability to have a sound management mindset and an ability to lead. She has been met with multiple challenges in the last two months including: staffing shortages; needing to interview and hire individuals; several human resource matters; procedural updates; and navigating the transition from staff member to manager of the same unit, which is no small feat. She has met every one of these challenges with the utmost professionalism, respect and admirable work ethic.
Beyond the above, l would like to say that Ms. Reigner is more than meeting my expectations for a new manager. She has excellent initiative, is always prepared with new ideas and suggestions, and she has a sound, practical approach to problem solving. Ms. Reigner is always willing to share thoughts and ask for advice, showing her willingness to learn and strive to be the best manager she can be. She always makes certain to share information she learns in an effort to help further everyone’s knowledge and skill sets.
